self portrait

For this project we were told to use ai to make a realistic self portrait and then create a second layer that was significantly different than the first. My second layer I decided to make myself look like one of those muscle and bone models and my face was made of muscle and bone I should have taken away my hair and eyebrows, I think that would have made the second layer more effective.
This is the first layer, I'm working on getting the second layer to appear....

Computer Projects

the first computer project is a still life of objects we found. I'm happy with this piece because it wass my first project and I feel it is a successful composition. My second piece is about my education growing up. The first panel is a table because eating dinner together as a family was very important. The middle panel is Lancaster and this was a central image because it shaped me and is alot of the reason why I am who I am. I took piano lessons for 15 years and that is why the last panel is a piano. It taught me how to think in a different way and it is a relief for me. The last project was a quote I picked about the right brain. Instead of using a picture of a brain I chose to use a brain cell because I felt it was a more creative way and related to my quote.

computer project

One lie. One laugh. One truth. Harder than it sounds. Although we have been doing this since middle school the truth is I still had trouble trying to figure out one lie one truth and one laugh about myself. It's disturbing to think that I actually am as boring as I thought I was. Oh well. My lie was that my grandma was born and raised amish but left the amish community. She later taught me PA dutch and I'm now fluent in it. My truth was that I was a high jumper for my high school. And my laugh was that in elem. school I didn't wear jeans until 2nd grade. I'll try and find some pictures to add to this.

ME

Hey everyone,

I find it hard to talk about myself so I'll try and make this as painless and to the point as possible. I'm a self-proclaimed home body. You can often find me at home, or in my dorm room, on Friday and Saturday nights. My family is amazing and I often go home to Lancaster county to spend time with them on weekends. No, we are no Amish, yes traffic jams are often caused by horse and buggy, and yes I have seen Amish people at a Tom Petty concert. My music interests are all over the place but I really love The Shins and Incubus. I have a gigantic school girl crush on Isaac Hanson, yes a Hanson brother. Random facts about me are that piano is an interest of mine, and I have played for 13 years, i love to read my favorite
books are East of Eden and Naked. And in high school I high jumped for our track team.

As an artist I'm really into mixed media. I like the work of Anselm Kiefer and Brandon Boyd (lead singer of Incubus). I thought I was better at drawing than I actually am, I realized this when I came to art school. I'm still not sure what I would like to major in, maybe painting. I hope I figure it out soon, but until then I'm happy to float along and try new things.

Some of my life goals are to open my own gallery, be the voice of a Disney cartoon character, write and illustrate my own children's book and own a motorcycle.
